That really would be intriguing! If I do write the fic, I might just have to see how it goes. Rescuing him might be anti-climatic unless I change things so that the fake one is going to kill the real one and that's when James has the battle with him, but I really like the way the original fic has it, that the fake one is trying to kill Jessie instead.
