Indeed. Definitely understandable to prefer the later version. Although I will probably always prefer the Rockapella version due to the other singers, LOL. The GrooveBarbers guys sing great, but I never fangirled over them or grew up with them.
Yeah, the hurt/comfort scene was quite poignant. And thanks! That would definitely be a good idea. I also debate if the fic should end similarly to the original or if they should actually have to find the real Giovanni and rescue him....
