insaneladybugI've been fooling around watching some duels on Duel Links. I love that most of the voice actors return! And that you can play as the majority of the characters! I hope they bring in Marik soon, instead of just the Yami. And I wonder why they don't do the voice distortion with the Yami. He sounds too much like Marik without it.
(Also, ROTFLOL, I stumbled on a Scripted Duel with Pegasus and Marik (and Yami Marik). This is a riot! And I've never seen what J.T. Ross looks like before. Fun. I was always one of the few who liked Marik's dub voice.)
I wonder what happened with the Duel Links duel where Seto and Mokuba duel. Usually they try to have the characters interact vocally at the beginning and the end. Seto says nothing at the beginning, and at the end he snarls, "Amateur! Get out of my sight!" Yikes. Mokuba doesn't specifically respond to that, and I highly doubt you're really supposed to figure Seto said that to Mokuba, because he wouldn't (except maybe early in the manga or season 0, which are different canons than the Duel Monsters anime). More likely, it's just a pre-recorded clip that plays whenever any duel is won, but seriously, I wonder why they didn't take a little more care with that one. The other duels I've watched have vocal interactions at the beginning and end that make sense with the specific characters dueling.
One of the crackiest things I watched was Yami Bakura vs. Yami Bakura. ROTFLOL. Neither one acknowledged that weirdness at all. One commenter said she pictured Yami Bakura just practicing in front of a mirror. **snerk.**
I wish my tablet was compatible to play Duel Links. Apparently there is some kind of patch you can get so you can play it on the computer, but my little laptop doesn't have enough RAM to make that work. I am seriously considering getting a Smartphone (not just for this, of course, but it would certainly be a perk). I always wanted to play a YGO video game, and this sounds like the best one for me, with the voice actors and getting to play as the characters, instead of just as some OC.
